Do you still feel "safer" with the current administration?

I know back in 2004 a lot of people said they were voting for Bush because of his stance on "security", because all the hype and drama from the GOP makes them feel "safe".

I figured I would start a poll to see how many minds have changed about that in the wake of Katrina.

What is there to fear, really? With either moron in office? A life lived in fear is not a life lived at all.

Many of us didn't see an alternative. Either moron #1, or moron #2.

It's not like Kerry was going to pull troops out. Nor was he going to be able to do much that was useful between now and when he was elected.

LOL is this a joke? Bush has probably done more for Islamic terror recruitment than any man in history, CIA even says so offically and agent whistleblowers expound on it. GTF out of any major city, stock a minimum of 6 months food and water and enough ammunition to shot millions of NO types because it's just a matter of time before a suitcase bomb goes off and makes Katrina look like a Church Social.

My safety has never, and will never, hinge on who is president of the US. Anybody who feels safer based on who is president is a fool.

We've seen in New Orleans what a bunch of Democrats can do for security!

Now that you mention Kerry, where our hero? New Orleans? Not on my TV. Maybe he is getting more botox or maybe he is visiting the troops in Iraq.

 What is a senator from Massachusetts supposed to do in Louisiana? DHS/FEMA is an executive function, not a legislative one.

OK, that would explain why Hilary hasn't shown any interest either. I haven't heard her shrewish voice on TV lately. Matter, if there isn't mention of 2008, she seldom is seen.

You still haven't explained why our hero never went to Iraq to visit the troops, even when he was running for Commander in Chief.

He went to Iraq in January. Hilary, again, is a legislator from another state - what do you propose she'd do? I could just as easily attack my Republican senator, Norm Coleman, or Trent Lott, or Jim DeMint for not going to Louisiana, and it would be no dumber or less dumb than your own pointless remarks.

You're going to have a hard time convincing me this isn't cheap partisan trolling on your part.

Tell that to the people in the WTC. You think these guys attacked us for giggles or our policies may have had something to do with it? Let me ask you another way, if you were (caution) his father or 20K other iraqi civilians slaughtered father who would you blame?

Don't they teach such basic concepts such as cause and effect anymore? For every action there is a reaction?

Its shocking how fast cultivation falls apart in a disaster. Usually we watch disasters on TV, happening in some other country, usually. But here, we're use to having heat, running water, electricity, gas, food, open grocery stores, a phone and security in thinking nothing bad can happen like this, to us.

Soooo, thats why we elect leaders to make sure these things don?t happen, or are unlikely to happen. When they do, heads must roll. Presidents need to be kicked out, regardless. Why keep this administration in office if they put us in danger by their stupidity.
He's got to go, now!!!!

Kerry is the Junior Senator from Massachusetts. What would he be doing in NO?

At some point, you have to realize that by law the state has authority over itself and it must first allow the federal government to help. In New Orleans this process was not even started until Wednesday.
