I now have 2 FX-60s and the 9850 all crunching Yoyo@Home. Imagine that, 8 cores!

One thing to check before trying to get the 32 libs on 64-bit ubuntu:

Go to "system menu", click on "administration", click on "synaptic package manager", type in admin password, click on the "settings" menu, then make sure the boxes referring to "main" and "universe" are checked (ubuntu software tab). This should enable downloading of packages like the 32 bit libs.

try again apt-get install ia32-libs.

Nice, what motherboard did you get?

I got a Gigabyte GA-MA790FX-DS5. It is beautiful to look at and runs good, too.

The BIOS has some quirks:

You must flash to the latest version: F5

You must enable: USB Keyboard to get the CD or USB -HDD to install the OS.

It took me a day to figure this out.

The support for the MB is only Windows--- for me to flash the BIOS, I had to download the .exe to a thumbdrive. Go to a Windows box. Execute the install back to the thumbdrive. Then, flash from the thumbdrive, which was TOTALLY COOL!!!

Debian GNU/Linux-AMD64 doesn't have a K10temp module yet, so I can't get CPU temps yet. I over-clocked by upping the multiplier from 12.5 to 14 and it hasn't misssed a beat! When I get the K10temp module, I will do more extreme over-clocking.

Ref DC, from 10/99 to 12/05 I pretty much crunched nothing but SETI ,though on a few old PCs I briefly had i ran RC5 on those.And I briefly ran Gamma Flux on my main rig.
Since the end of SETI classic I've switched around more, on my own rigs at least. I've run SETI, F@H & DPAD ,the latter having the greatest portion of time.
I intend to run Orbit@home & R@H at some point in the future.

My remote fleet (except 1 rig which runs DPAD) runs SETI.

SETI's always had stats since the beginning in 5/99😉 (but yes it didn't run on BOINC until 05..... or was it 04?....there abouts)
