Do you spend a lot of time with your siblings?

I have one brother. He is a huge jack ass to my parents. My mom, who was diagnosed with an early form of leukemia last November, wanted to go see Wicked! with us and my grandparents. He was late, bitched about it, didn't say a word to us, and then when he was invited to have dinner with us afterwards, he simply didn't show up.

He hasn't come to family events in years, and the few times I have spent alone with him, he constantly bitches about my parents, who gave him a great life, really.

So, needless to say, I don't spend a lot of time with my brother. And while it is sad to me and my parents, he is a jerk-off and doesn't really deserve the time of day. I am surprised he actually managed to find a girlfriend.

What say you?

I has no siblings...I DO have a couple of step-brothers and sisters...but never kept in touch with them. We're not "family."

I sort of wish I had one of those brothers who was like my best buddy. That'd be fun...

Before college my brother and I would play ball together. But then I went college, when I got out, he went and then I got married. We still see each other when I'm home and he visits sometime but with a family of my own now, time is short for hanging out. Maybe once he has a family too we can hang out more.

My brother lives in New Mexico. My sister and mom live in Wisconsin. I live in NY. We get together once a week on ooVoo with my mom. It's become an easy way for my kids to see their grandmother and my nephew in New Mexico. But nothing compares to actually enjoying time with them.

I flew out to Wisconsin for two weeks last year. Brother was supposed to come up too, but the Air Force denied his leave. We've gotten that over the last 10 years. He was supposed to be my best man at my wedding on September 1, 2001 but his leave got cancelled then. The only time I've seen my brother since he went into boot was when he and I flew back home for Christmas in 2006.

I work with my oldest brother every day. He can be a douche bag, but is mostly ok. My other brother is BIG Dbag, so I only see him once or twice a month. My brother that I am closest to just moved about 9 hours away. :(

My older half brother was like that for me, he died when I was 17. I don't have that kind of relationship with my younger 3 brothers.

One has moved out, the other has moved 7/8 of the way out. He sleeps over at girlfriend's a block away, but comes home to eat breakfast and dinner (both of them) almost daily, and comes by to shower, and comes by to use his computer... Detachment/attachment issue and commitment phobia is my guess.

I usually see my brothers once per week, but I am not spending as much time as I used to with them. When I was single, we'd hang out and game all the time. Now that I am married, we only usually hang out on Sunday afternoon and game.

My brother lives in Florida about a 1/2 hour from my Mom and my sister lives in the Albany, NY area but is planning on moving down to Tampa in the next year or so. I talk to my sister almost weekly and my brother less but we are all pretty close and have a good relationship. I'm the oldest of 3.

I don't see them nearly enough though. :'(

I would like to see them more often but it's hard.
My sister lives about 35 miles away (no direct highway either)
My brother is only about 15 miles away

But they both work and I work and so we usually just see each other at family get togethers.
