when you are at a website...do you go through and try to browse the directories?? I always do, and I wasnt sure if it was rude...dont really care if it is...just wondered

 

Sometimes, but if they're smart they'll have their .htaccess set so you can't browse directories.

Here is how I do it sometimes. Say I am at a website, and the current page I am surfing has a URL like this www.somewebsite.com/pics/new/trip/aaa.jpg. Well I delete uptil pic, and just leave www.somewebsite.com/pics.

If directory viewing hasn't been turned off, then everything that is in the pics folder is now visible to you. Sometimes they contain personal stuff too. Long time ago, around 99, someone figured out that you can do this with MSN. The results were pictures BEYOND your imagination.

hotornot.com had that problem too...it used to be you had to upload your pic from a website...well all you had to do was right click>properties>cut and paste then find the directory...there were some pretty crazy pics found that way
