I shave up against the hairs because you attain the closest shave this way. Anyone that says it does'nt give the closest shave ............? Numbnut?

Now on most t.v. shows and movies, guys are always seen shaving down or they either say it's the better method. You RARELY see anyone on tv, whether it's a news show, reality tv or movie........ shaving up! I can understand some people have sensitive skin and shaving down but that's it.

My wife likes it as smooth as a baby's azz......So kissable...... **LMAO** (not the baby's azz)

Usually down cause I have sensitive skin. UP gets a closer shave though for sure.

Down then up. It's rougher trying to go up, which leads to an uncomfortable shave; at least, for my hairy face.

Depends. If I don't need to be smooth, down, because it hurts less and I bleed a lot less (hell, sometimes not at all). If I really need the smooth then I HAVE to shave up, because it's the ONLY way to get a close shave. I also have to heat pack my face first or it's a waste of time. Of course, the excrutiating pain and enormous blood loss it causes are rather a bitch, but *shrug*.

FTW. Once you get to my neck, my hair has no "grain" and grows every which way.

So down, then up. Then left-to-right. Then right-to-left. Then stroke my face with my hand looking for rough spots and tackling them as I find them.

Because of this, I try not to shave too often.

Always up, unless I miss a day, then I shave down first and then up.

And I agree with cKGunslinger about neck hair growing every which way.

well, like I said in my razor vs. shaver thread. I shave down everywhere but becuase of the thickness or whatever of my moustace hair I have to shave upwards there or else I look like a dirty ********, not to be offensive. It is very painful and brings up spots of blood. It then burns for quite a while.

down, then up. grain is the same for my face/neck. But I usually use the electric... sucks tho, it's becoming more irritating than using my mach3. And of course never as close... but only takes like 30 seconds and no clean up :)

Down, then up, then against the grain. But I use a "DE" safety razor, shaving brush, and good lather shave creams or soaps. So I can shave with multiple passes and get "baby's butt close" without irritation.
