Do you send thank you notes after interviews?

You finish an interview, interviewer gives you a biz card, tells you he/she will get back to you in a week or two..do you send a thank you email for the interview?

No, I send them a dried up spider. In other words, yes, most definitely. People liked to be thanked.

Yes, because in some cases the comment "be back to you in 1-2 weeks" is too see if you send a thank you letter.

Sending a letter shows that you have a true interest in the position, while others that could care less are ignored.

Atleast that is what I've been told. We know by the end of the day an interviewee comes in whther or not an offer is getting extended.

Every time. I do interviewing. If I don't receive a note of thanks, it tells me a lot about the person. It's not the only criterion, obviously, but it makes a difference.

How about an interview for a college? How does one start and end a thank you note for an interview?

I wanted to... inquired with HR what their emails were... but they told me I was already basically hired. Doh... never got around to it.
