Do you see much 'Billabong'/'Quiksilver'/'Rusty' gear over there?

I live in the biggest Spring Break destination in the US - it's standard attire here. Reef flips flops and board shorts are my year round clothing 😛

I don't really like clothing that you pay money for that also advertises for the company. Now i they paid me to wear it, that's another story.

I own one Billabong t-shirt and that's because it has the word BONG written in giant writing on the front. It gets a few chuckles.

EDIT: My most comfortable jeans are Quicksilver. Forgot about them almost.

I grew up in Virginia Beach, where that was the normal attire... here in D.C., I can't even remember the last time I saw any of those brands.

I've seen all three brands. They're obviously more popular in surf/skate shops.

Billabong and Quiksilver make some high quality clothes.

Personally, I'm sick of the commercialization of surf culture and the marketing of all this crap to people living hundreds of miles from the ocean.

I remember when quiksilver made wetsuits, and Rusty Preisendorfer shaped surfboards, and it was hard to find any of these brands outside of an actual surf shop.

Alhambra, CA

rusty, red sand, billabong, quicksilver, hawaiian island creations, etc. etc. used to be popular and expensive around here circa '92-'96.

not so much anymore (seen them at Target every once in awhile).

they do??? I'm all up for buying name brand stuff if it's high quality

Its all about the bling bling, back in the day you couldnt find volcom or lost except from VERY few select stores. They wouldnt let their stickers, socks, undies, etc get to anyone that was sponsored.. Now, its disgusting how much i see these hipsters wearing this stuff.
Now pacsun has anything you need from them... Ohh well, it was fun while it lasted.

Now, i couldnt care less what brand it is, as long as it looks good and its functional (baggies, wetsuits, flops).

Sounds like where I went to highschool, Wilmington NC. Standard fare for all the beach bunnies, surfers, and their respective wannabe posers.

I work right next to the Quicksilver and Billabong store. I don't like the stuff in Billabong, but Quicksilver has some nice tshirts. I barely see people wearing them though
