When hard drives hit 1GB, I can remember thinking, there is no way I could EVER fill up that whole thing.

FF 6 Years

Geez, who would ever need over 200GB of storage? ME, ME, ME :)

whats up with that, from the looks of technology, things are supposed to shrink over time and advance? The HD gets smaller but space bigger, shouldnt we have better commpression for stuff now?

I remember trying to fit FF7 (450 MB full install) along with everything else on my 1.12 GB hd, a whole 5 years back.

Umm, we do. That's why we can now fit like 15 gigs of data into an area that would've only held 100MB back in the day

I remember way back in 1994 I paid $1,400 for a slow ass Mac Performa 630CD (486/33) with dinky 14" monitor, and $200 for a 28.8 Supra fax/modem (AWESOME MODEM!) and $250 for an AppleWriter or something b&w inkjet printer. I thought woah the hard drive is frickin' 250MB! LOL now you can fit that onto a CD-R or zip disk. Oh and let's not even talk about RAM.
