No. Ratings are far too subjective and get especially worse if people can pull their head out of their ass to rate properly. Just take a look at how "great" DailyTech's rating system is. I sure do love posting something contra to popular opinion and seeing myself quickly demoted for it. Too much demotion and you get to validate every post you make... yay.

About 50% of the time. Depends if a topic is particularly interesting (or funny, retarded, etc).

Those stars on the front page make the forum look really tacky IMO.

They look like McDonald stars, and that's never a good thing.

Too much effort. They should make it like netflix where you can immediately rate it without having to click a button first.

I would if it actually meant something. Perhaps insted of a user rating, you'd have an average thread rating in your profile or something.
