do you register your products?

just unpacked my first "real" laptop ... a lenovo s10 netbook to replace my dell mini

went through initial setup and it asked to register hardware with lenovo and software with microsoft. i skipped it... but i wonder if anyone else actually registers these things?

I do in case there's a recall or other such issue they know who to contact. Also if something goes wrong with it having it registered will probably help in fixing the issue.

I rarely do, it's usually so they can send you advertisements through mail, or spam your phone/email.
