Do you reflect on your past often?

I rarely do myself and I think it may have a detrimental effect--I can't recall many memories from 5 years ago (further back is even worse) :Q. (Do you have to exercise the memory to retain it?)

Edit: I must admit that forgetting times with relatives is the worst, particularly those who have passed away. For some I can no longer recall any particular events but just remember their mannerisms and voice in general :(

High School memories... mostly vacation memories.

Usually something in the present triggers a memory from the past. It's normal not to remember them like a book.

I do, and I feel bad when I remember the crappy decisions I've made.

Yeah. I always remember the bad decisions I made, and then I remember the best times..which are always overshadowed by my bad memories.

I always think back on how I could have improved something...I tend to be indecisive.

But I do think back of memories with family, vacations, friends, locations, directions.......

I do all the time. I try not to as much, but I'm a pretty nostalgic person I think.

Same here. I also remember the emotions I felt pretty clearly, so I have to be careful.

Past loves, missed opportunities... I may reflect on those and wonder if I made the right decisions.

Oh I completely forgot about "those" memories. It's especially hard when someone has a inner locus of control when the blame themselves for everything and not on external factors.

Ditto... except I'm not so good about the "be careful" part.
