I've been recording hd stuff, and encoding it to h.264. Does anyone else do this as a hobby, or just to keep up with TV shows?

sometimes I will transcode (I.e. .tp to .dvr-ms) just so media center can play it and give me information. The only one I really keep is The Big Bang Theory since you can't buy any seasons on Blu-ray yet.

I do, It's recorded on my TivoHD then I cut the commericals and encode it to mp4 or divx (if it's a kids show). I almost have a OCD about this w/ all my TV shows.

This. I need to set up my comskip as well, but I haven't gotten around to it. That's the only processing I plan on doing to the HD files unless I start running out of room. Most content is recorded and deleted the same week.
