Price I can't help you with. But for the same $$$ the Klipsch ProMedia's will kick a hole in those Cambridge paper driver fuzz cones.

Yea Klipsch can definitely blow the DTT2500 out of the water in terms of loudness, but the reason I went for the DTT2500's instead was for the 5.1 dolby digital... DVD's SOUND awesome with these speakers. Also they can be picked up for about $100 less than the Promedia's... not bad for a 5.1 home theater set!

I'm about to get speakers too
it seems that the promedias have no center channel

I want to klipsh promedias too, but I'm not going to use them too loud, and I am worried that if i'm going to use the speakers for movies and tv also, wouldn't a center channel be important?

DTT2500's are overpriced and underpowered speakers, you are paying for the Creative name.

There are many many many other setups out there that will blow it away, i.e. Klipsch, Videologic, Midiland. Just do a search and you'll be suprised.

FYI, I picked up the DTT2500 and they are awesome. The only problem I have with them is that there isnt a remote control for the volume (but that can be fixed by an upgrade to the next model) and there is no optical input. The sound is crystal clear and you really dont need it to get any louder unless you want your ears to bleed. you can pick them up pretty cheap too, plus digital 5.1 decoding is a must. the difference in 5.1 from other solutions available (with the exception of 10.1 (which there is no standard for yet) and DTS) is monumental. Fantastic sound from DVDs...

Videologic should be showing up in the USA soon, I would look at that range, the Videologic DigiTheatre is good
