Do you put off going to the doctor or ER

I'm really good about recommending someone else go see their doctor when they should, but I put off going myself, even when I know I really should.

Anyone else like this? What's your excuse?

Edit: who here has had the worst illness/injury that they didn't go to a doctor for?

My excuse is that I'd rather die unexpectedly than live in fear of death for the rest of my life.

Yeah, going to the ER can suck, especially when they say that have to operate on you. NO FUN at all. But Morphine is on hell of a drug.

My excuse is that it's really expensive and I see no need to waste money when my body can take care of most things by itself, for free.

Normally I don't. When my appendix was f'd up I had to. I had never felt that much pain before.

Well, when my spleen got really large, and i was bleeding internally due to my stupid spleen, yeah, it felt good to have that sucker removed. Granted the Morphine drip helped , along with the narcotic painkillers i got when i left the Hospital.
