Maybe, or more like a New York thing... Gonna go get some cawfee (coffee).

everyone in north ohio and michigan pronounces it cawfee too

i'm going to meet up with some folks from west virginia today, i'll have to get them to say it so i can see if they merged it too

supposedly this merger is a relatively new thing - not that long ago, NOBODY in the US pronounced cot and caught them the same way

pretty cool to see a mini version of the great vowel shift

and of course cot is pronounced caht, cause we're not stupid here.

Never thought about it before but yeah pretty much the same, maybe a little bit of a w sound in caught, Texas.

For me in southern California it's cot with the o as in otter, and caught with the au as in awesome.

No, which matches what your map claims, being from Southern Louisiana. I do pronounce "median" as "new-tral ground" though.
