Do you prioritize your media player's process?

Just wondering if I'm wierd - I put Winamp at Realtime priority. I can't *STAND* to have my music skip during CPU intensive operations - PAR, RAR, etc.

What CPU do you have that can't handle playing music??? Or are you also doing other CPU intensive things?

Your computer sucks :p
I have an Athlon XP and my computer doesn't skip during anything, and priority hasn't been changed. (Winamp 2.81, doesn't skip during gaming, RARing or anything else-ing)

A64 2800. The "problem" started with the very latest Winamp version. They changed... Something. And it makes me unhappy.

I use the old winamp 2.91. Works great, does everything I need it for. Never was interested in any of the later versions.

The new Winamp is what makes your music skip, not the priority. Use a different version or a different player.

No, but occasionally maybe once a week, the music skips in WMP10, but it happens quite often on video for me.

nah i dont have any problems...5.08 here.

my cpu is occupied by MATLAB 90% of the time so I'd say my athlon has a lot of other things to think about besides winamp
