Do you print CD covers for your burned CDs?

I just found a CD covers search engine that has millions of CD, DVD, etc covers. Now, when I burn a CD I print the CD cover as well as the track list. Neat! :)

Ya know, if I care enough about the music to go find not only every audio file on the CD, but the pirated cover art, I'm just going to buy the damn CD. It's just easier that way, and I don't look like a cheap-ass pirating fool when someone's over trying to find some music to put on.

I only write the date that I made the cd on the cd. I don't make copies of cd's though, just mix cd's.

Good quality label + good quality printer = indistinguishable from original CD for 90% of people

Also approximately 20 times cheaper

I've never bothered with covers before but was recently gifted with a cd that had a custom cover done. I really liked what it added to the presentation so think I'll start doing covers for my own stuff :D

I've put covers for stuff like games. When you have a lot of cds, it helps to tell them apart easily

no hes not. My CD covers are impossible to tell from the originals. Maybe because I print the covers directly to the CD!

I don't print covers. I use the marker that came with my burner.

Surething CD Labeler is good software for making labels. I don't make labels for my audio cd's anymore. They warp and bubble in my car stereo. I don't think extreme temperatures are good for the labels.

<< How do I do it on nero ?? >>

after you burn the cd go to File/Print CD Cover.

That will load the cover design program.

Click on Standard and Empty Document

Then click OK

On the Booklet (Front) tab, click on Object/Insert/Image. Load the image of the CD cover.

You can resize it to fit the booklet.

Then hit File/Print

There are some options that will pop up. Go through all of them so you get it the way you like.

Geez. Are you guys making covers and labels to ~try~ to pass off the cd as an original or trying to convince yourself that you aren't pirating if it looks good enough?

BTW, i use any sharpie or whatever I can find to scribble down on it. The cd gets shuffled around for about a few weeks or maybe a month or two and I have to redo it again.

some of us aren't in a hurry. some of us like our stuff to be neat and organized. we take the time to do it the first time. :)

you see. we don't have those problems when we print everything out.

btw, sharpies don't work on black cds (I have black imations).
