I prefer roasted chicken because it's less greasy and I can roast some veggies with it.

I do like fried chicken but I find it greasy and generally too salty.

So what's your opinion on this matter?

I've come to hate chicken generally. I still like fried mostly, but chicken's overused. I especially dislike white meat. Dunno how that fad caught on, but it can go to hell.

Chicken that's fried well is not greasy. And as a general rule, fried anything > roasted anything.

Fried chicken is a guilty pleasure of mine. Really great home or restaurant prepared fried chicken isn't greasy or salty either, only the crud they serve at KFC.

Fried is delicious, but I need to live past 40, so I usually roast it (or stir-fry it in chunks.)

I picked both. :)

Fried is better, but roasted can be almost as good. Nice to have both once in a while.

/this.

I love fried, roasted, grilled and on a rotisserie. I just wish my fried chicken was like KFC.

You could probably do better than KFC if you got yourself your own pressure fryer. That's their "secret" weapon.

Fried... only because a lot of places don't seem to know how to roast it "properly". There's one place that roasts it so well that the meat just falls off the bone. Other places, usually supermarket variety, cook it, but the meat is difficult to take off the deeper I get.

100% roasted. There's a local place around here called Charo Chicken and they have some of the best grilled chicken I've ever had.

that is why I love making roast chicken/turkey. I always get it the way I like it.

Fried, of course, but I love making a roasted chicken. One of my favorite meals these days--line the pan bottom with potatoes, carrots, celery, shallots, garlic etc etc, whole chicken on top, dry-brined the night before, well seasoned....just exactly perfect.

I've also been using the souse vide circulator for making fried chicken--cook the chicken to just under temperature--~135F for 1+ hours, then batter and toss in fry oil. You only have to fry it for a few minutes, so it is far less greasy, meat is perfect, life is perfect.

I prefer the taste of fried, but overall I'd rather eat roasted because it tastes nearly as good and doesn't make me feel nasty afterwards.

When I go out to eat my main option is KFC and that's fine but Boston Market is 10X better. Sadly, there is no Boston Market within 300 miles of SLC.
