America is a noble melting pot of people and cultures. We have people from all over the world inhabiting and living on our land. Japanese, Mexicans, Europeans, etc. But Arabs get so fired up when Americans are in their land. Osamba Bin Laden was outraged when he leanred that Americans were operating out of Saudi Arabia. I mean, like, dude, grow up! Why so fired up? How come Arabs get so angry when other people are in their land? I don't understand. Because it is holy land? America is holy too. Bush is a Christian.

They are like kids who don't want to share and play ball by themselves. This is why our country works and theirs don't. They should understand and stop resisting.

I think its mostly just religous fanaticism. If you look at other regions of the world like Asia and S.america, theres alot more openness to other cultures and ideas, western ideals may not be completely accepted in those regions, but they are tolerated. OF course those societies are not ruled by thier religion unlike the ME.

If you go back 500 years to Europe then im sure you would find the same kind of religous intolerance as you find in the ME today, complete with witch-hunts and cries of 'death to the jews'/any other group who doesnt follow your religion. Pretty much during the last 500 years when Europe/Christian culture was revolutionizing itself both in terms of thought, tolerance, and religion, Islam was stagnant and never reformed thus they still see things in the 'us vs them' mentality that they had way back when.
