Do you pay for content on websites?

havent yet. I was about to pay for the AT subscription, but then the non subscriber speed sky rocketed. Also i don't have a credit card and i'm in the UK so i'm unsure how'd i'd pay

this site only
i used to pay at Arstechnica, but i quit paying there, no speed difference/no benefit

No, but I've been thinking of getting a subscription here.

So far I'm very pleased with everything here - so I should support what I like. 🙂

Would pay for anandtech if I could, but being in the UK with no credit card doesn't help much. Other thna that, I'm not sure if anywhere else is really worth it.

I was just thinking the same thing. I was gonna pay for Byte.com since they just started chargin but I only look at the Chaos Manor Articles. They are buy a guy Jerry Pornelli who is a Sci Fi writer but a tech as well. The articles were always fun to read and he recommened good products. But since they charge now I dont feel the price worth it to look at just his monthly articles.

No one said/admit pron? I thought it's suppose to be the most profitable business on the net.

i don't think that's true anymore. pron is easily attainable without paying. also online porn markets are struggling so much right now due to heavy competition, online fraud, peer-to-peer distributing etc... (read from Wired)

Also, if it was a site the I visited frequently, and that I found useful, I'd gladly pay a nominal fee ($10-$20) a year for that service so long as I didn't have to put up with pop ups and other increasingly annoying banners and ads.

none thus far.

i bought a registration to napigator, cause i know the company and i frequent their boards.

if i stick around here more often, i might pay for a subscription here. just need to post more often.
