Do you pay attention to people when they are talking to you?

Of course...that is one of my pet peeves.

The worst is when you're talking to someone (at work for example), and they pick up the phone and just start talking on it. :|

i'm deaf and i find it utterly annoying. deaf friends always do that when their phones ring/vibrate (for emails/text messages) and they pick it up rather than continue talking.

every time, they pick up their phones, i walk away. they responded and ran to me asking why did i leave. i told them it turns me off when they pick up the phones in the middle of conversation.

i do understand if they are stopped for emergency but general use, come on.
