I've got a 120GB HDD and yeah, I partition it.

First partition is 30 GB NTFS where Windows XP Pro and it's Apps/Games reside.
Second is 1 GB Linux swap ..
Third is 50 MB Linux Boot
Fourth is 20 GB Linux ReiserFS
Fifth is the remaining space in FAT32

Second HDD is one parition, 30 GB FAT32. Mostly for backups/DLs/etc.

Use a lot of FAT-32 space so I can read/write to it easily with Linux .. NTFS is a pain since Linux is my primary OS.

I usually do a 15 gig partition for windows and programs, and the rest for storage.

I use multiple drives as well though.

Right now, no. I have one 160GB partition (two 80GB Maxtors RAID 0), a 120GB partition (120GB Maxtor), and a 60GB partition (60GB IBM). I don't feel the need to partition anything. Folders are good enough for organization. Defragging speed isn't important to me, since there's no way it could take Diskeeper longer than a night to defrag everything, so if I really wanted to defrag all 340GB, I'd just let it run overnight.

Very similar to my 80 gig drive

20 gigs NTFS win xp pro, apps/games
512 MB linux swap
4 gigs linux reiser FS
remaining FAT 32 (~55 GB)

no second hd :)
