I once picked up a clean key for the same exact purpose. I had the same exact story too, wanted to play urban terror and my friend needed a key. Its like a parallel universe.

Well, I just posted in in fs/t. You will have people pm'ing you with links to key-gens.. none of them work with the new releases of Q3 (punkbuster), so just ignore those pms. Someone will sell you a clean key for less than $10 in the fs/t forum.

Why not just download it off kazaa? or just buy another copy of quake 3. Why do you need another cd key?
new under $15, might have to wait for shipping though, but I am sure you could get the guy to send the cd key in advance

Just a question: why would you buy Q3 if you didn't plan to play it online? Online play was the whole idea behind the game.

When I bought Q3 I didn't have broadband. By the time I got it, I had started playing UT. Just found the graphics/gameplay better.
ANd No, I'm not turning this into a UT vs. Q3 thread. Just answering a question.
