do you own a shop vac??

I need a shop vac to keep in my little 1 car garage. thinking 10 gallon will be perfect (about 60 bucks a lowes). I have a $50 lowes gift card, so for an extra 10 bucks it looks like a good deal.

what size (in gallons) is your shop vac?

- 2 gallon portable, Sears brand

Each one has their own purpose, but the Rigid is an excellent vacuum. You can buy Hepa3 filters for it, which do a great job of filtering dust when using it. I'm sure the same could be found in the Shop-Vac brands that are carried at Lowes, though.

NO! Damn things are too freakin' noisy. The high pitched whine of those damn motors makes me cringe and gives me a headache. My wife's semi-quiet "By-Pass" vacuum will handle the few shop vac duties I require. Haven't required a wet vac in the last 20 or 30 years, so I guess I don't really need one.

ones labeled as such are rather quiet 🙂 my dad has one of those from lowes, his old one was terribly loud, but the quiet series isnt bad at all.
