Do you overclock?

I've overclocked my GPU a couple of times but I really don't want to bother with overclocking my CPU. I need the stability of a stock system.

I *usually* don't overclock my GPU, but that's because historically I've had poor clockers and didn't find the weak OC's worth it. Right now, however, my MSI GTX 460 Hawk is sitting very happily overclocked beyond the stock OC.

And of course, I always overclock my CPUs.

If your system is unstable after an OC then its not considered a good OC.
The whole point of stability testing is to ensure your system will be rock solid stable.

Exactly. The only limits of your overclock are the quality of your components and the knowledge you have applied.

I overclock both Cpu and Gpu also been doing it for years now, tho I don't usually push the gpu as much.

These days its much easier than it use to be.

I usually stay with Air cooling on both but must have a quiet system so never stock coolers and all builds have fan controllers and high quality case fans.

And out of all the cpu's i've overclocked I found that socket 1366 is the easiest platform i've done it on.

Ignoring a brief attempt to overclock my Core 2 Quad Q6600 and discovering I had a terrible stepping, I haven't overclocked anything since my Celeron 433... but that's going to change when I get my GTX 680. Perhaps I'll bias the dynamic overclocking of the GTX 680 up a step or two for fun, but I otherwise plan on leaving it alone. My i7 2600k, on the other hand... I've got a huge air cooler and now that the wrinkles in my BIOS have been ironed out, it's so easy!

Aww yeah, got a 29% OC on my side panel screws. My case opens so fast now when I need to swap hardware 😛

I just can't resist overclocking both the GPU and the CPU. My i5 2500K is at 4.5GHz and my 2 GTX 460 1GB are at 870/1740/2050. I don't think I'll have to upgrade for years.

Not any more. A stock Sandy Bridge is fast enough and I haven't the time for it anymore.

cpu i overclocked for sure. as for gpu. i rarely do. maybe a small overclocked but most of the time the overclock only gives me very little gain but allot more heat and power useage
