Do you organize your Start Menu at all?

For example, making a folder for "Media" apps, "Office" apps, "System" apps, etc., and then dragging things around appropriately, instead of having one huge list that spans multiple columns when you go to All Programs.

I'm debating if doing this, although being a pain, would maybe help me find things quicker.

I used to, but now I just try to maintain it so that it doesn't have to scroll or have two columns...other than that, I'm happy. When I used to game a lot, I would put everything in there and then folders for different types of apps.

I create two folders: Media and Utilities
Media contains quicktime, and other media players

Yes. I create more manageable submenus. I don't understand why people just let it balloon to ginormous proportions.

I try to. It's been a while since I've done it and it needs to be done again to get a few random things sorted properly.

Yes. I have them divided like Standard Home Software, Multimedia Software, Security Software, etc. Boomarks I've been lazy on.

My organization just involves each program having no more than one folder...

Like when you install an ATI AIW and it installs about 5 programs, I just make an "ATI" folder and dump it all in there.

Then for things like printer utilities and stuff that I will never really use, I dump them in the "useless crap" folder.

I keep most links for programs in the quick launch bar, so I don't really go to the start menu much.

Nah no poll, the responses aren't always a clear cut yes or no.

Seems like a pretty mixed bag. At the very least it'd help give myself a good snapshot of what I have on my system. I don't have useless crap installed either, but at 1280x1024 it's still enough to go to two columns.

I do, at home.

Games (for games..)
Multimedia (for CD/DVD/Music/Video stuff)
Programs (for office apps/misc programs)
System (for system maintenance stuff, like antivirus, spybot, etc)

I think that's it. I'll check when I get home

My daily task comp runs OS X... so no.

My other windows machines run an app or two each...so no.
