Do you open up gift sets?

I have a Johnny Walker gift set sitting as a centerpiece on my bar. It contains 4 250 ml bottles of JW Blue, Black, Gold and (I think) Malt Reserve. I have yet to open it, since I do like 'showing it off', but I refuse to let the alcohol go to waste just sitting there.

I'm just curious if you opens up gift sets, assuming the contents are useful, or if you just display them.

Sorry, but what's the point in having it if you're not going to make use of it???

I could understand if it was an expensive Scotch, but it's just JW...

Edit - I open mine, as usually use the tumblers as the display piece..

This is assuming it came in a nice display box, as opposed to just a piece of plastic. People sometimes buy things just for decoration with no intention of using it.
