Do you often read books for pleasure?

Yep. Currently on A Man in Full by Tom Wolfe, going to start The Age of Spiritual Machines by Ray Kurzweil as soon as I finish, probably by the end of this weekend. I read at least twenty minutes a day for fun (not that I set a time, just that it ends up being at least that long), often up to about an hour.

I used to. Whole weekends would disappear just because I picked up a book or two. I consider it a bad habit now and try to avoid it. Going to the gym or kayaking or whatnot is just as fun for me and at least leaves me a bit healthier.

When I used to commute by train I read 2-3 books a month. Now that I have a different job and drive to work, I haven't read a book in the 7 months I've been at the new job.

Yes, read about a book a week on average. Well, I did until my daughter was born. It's taken me 6 weeks to get through half a book now.
It's my little escape from reality. Far more interesting than tv.

Very rarely do I read books. I don't have the patience to sit down and read a good book. I'd probably rather play a game.

I strive to be currently reading a book at all times, even if it's one I've read multiple times before.

I used to... but I now rather detest having to read anything that is printed, bound, and sold in a bookstore or shelved in a library.

I used to be this way too; you'll probably grow out of it. The games get boring after a while...nothing new under the sun etc.

As for Chaoticpinoy, I usually just read some of the older out of copyright famous classics, because they've stood the test of time.

One that I really enjoyed was "Ethan Frome" by Edith Wharton. Free online.

always.

I don't think I've not been reading at least one book since I learned how to read on my own.

I can't fall asleep without reading before bed, so I've always got a book next to the bed and I read for 20-30 minutes (or 60-120 if it's a good book :p) before going to sleep.

last book I finished: Pillars of the Earth
currently reading: Catch 22
next book in line: probably Invisible Man, by Ralph Ellison

I read a good mix of Literature, pulp, and books I should have read in high school / college but never did (I had a series of unorthodox lit teachers in high school, so I missed out on almost all of the canon that most hs'ers are exposed to, like Catch 22)
