It's strange, but I have stability problems running this card at default 230/190. Mainly I would get weird horizontal lines through icons, window title bars, or any type of image after playing games. I now have it clocked at 275/205 and have absolutely no problems. That's about as high as I want to take the memory, it's only rated for 200Mhz.

Does anyone else have problems like this? Is it safe to run this card at this core frquency, or should I throttle it back a bit?

If the card is running ok, it should be fine. Essentially it's an 8500 that has been underclocked. I would think the 8500DV should be able to take the 275 core. That's great that you got the AIW clocked that much.

Hey sod, I'm thinking about getting the same OEM 8500DV, but I was wondering if it came with the TV-OnDemand and the DVD software. If it does I can save a few bucks, but I really need a TV replacement so the extra $20 for the retail would be worth it if it doesn't.
