I'm entering my 4th year in college and my years have been filled with all nighters, early mornings, etc., and I've worked full time 7-4 and 8-5 shifts for the past two summers, and have never had the slightest urge to drink coffee or take caffeine.
I've tried it a couple times in preparing for exams, and all it did was make my heart pump harder, my hands shaky, and skyrocket my anxiety. I can get through my early classes if I force myself to pay attention and take notes, and easily get through a work day so long as I'm doing something.
Then usually after I get home I might pass out for up to an hour or two.
That said I still usually require a good 8-9 hours a sleep a day otherwise once I become idle and have a nice bed/couch handy, I'll immediately fall asleep.
