Thinking about making a DJing business for fun, and wanted to know if you need a licesne for Djing? If so how much does the license cost and how old do you have to be to obtain the license?

Thanks

Don't listen to him, I can license you for $175.
Go ahead and save a few bucks if you think it's worth it. Murphy55d uses a cheap Chinese knock-off license which has many unintended effects such as: bleeding rectum, leprosy and a perticularily nasty one called divergent testicle. Are your balls really worth $25?

DO NOT GET A DJ LICENSE UNTIL YOU HAVE READ THE FOLLOWING.

Before you can get a DJ License, you must pass the TCDJE (Technics Certified Disk Jockey Exam). It is offered once a year in Febrero and you will NOT be able to get a License until you pass this exam. I recommend taking a community college course in Linear Algebra to prep for this exam.

What happened to wanting to kill yourself in the other thread?

This is why I dislike you so much, you're inconsistent. If you're gonna put on an act, it better be all the time.

Of course you need one. IF you think about joining a band, make sure you guys have plenty of drum licenses, guitar licenses, and singing licenses too. Just in case.

Don't forget a lip synching license as well.

Don't listen to these guys, they're just neffing.
There's no such thing as a TCDJE.

Listen, I work for the DJ Information Center and Korporation, based out of Chicago.
You don't HAVE to have a DJ license to practice, but from my experience, people with one are easily able to charge double for their services.

But for public clubs with liquour licences you have to have a DJ licence, otherwise you will be considered an "Activist Sans Saction". It consists of a fee, depending on the state, anywhere from $15-200.
But if dont pay the fee, getting a license becomes almost impossible because now you become a "Delinquent Under Multiple Bans - Activist Sans Sanction"

So just be careful where you practice.
