Do you mow your grass in the rain??

I really don't have anything to mow but i guess if i did i would go ahead and mow when it was raining i mean, i guess it might be relaxing or something.

Rain is just one more excuse not to mow the lawn. And a good one.

Other excuses acceptable to me:

-too cold

-too dark (works anywhere within two hours of sunset, or on overcast days in the right mode)

-aren't the damn kids supposed to mow this?

-I'll wait till it gets taller (good to about six inches in length)

-Let's go to the movies/dinner/etc. when prodded by spouse to harvest the hay crop

-lawnmower's on the fritz, I'll have to look at it sometime.

-just about any other excuse that comes to mind.


BTW, my house is not on House & Garden's hit parade. I am, however, working on a nice brush/compost pile that has all sorts of life in it.

You shouldnt mow the lawn in the rain because it gets matted down and once it drives it will be all uneven. Its easy to tell when someone gets it get in the rain.
