Do you love or dislike your Boomslang 1k?

My 2K, was very cool when i first got it. However, now(1.5 years later) it is extremely less sensitive then it was. It used to take very little movement to have the cursor fly across the screen, now my hand gets tired using it. I'm going to toss it and get an Intellimouse Explorer. I would get an optical mouse now anyway because Razer seems to be going out of business.
Jumpem: The reason probably is because you need some cleaning. 😉 That should solve the problem, it did for me. 😀
Phuz: I like my Boomslang 2000. But the only problem was that it got dirty on the inside faster than I anticipated. 🙁 But then again, it could be due to the dusty dorm rooms. 😉

Ive had a 2k for about a year now. I love it-I am on my second one-the 1st I bought used(I was the 4th owner)so it was banged up pretty good. I liked it so much I decided to buy a new one about 6 months ago. I have the logitech optical mouseman wheel & the latest version of the Explorer, but I cant stand them compared to my 2k. Drivers are fine, no complaints from me& it took me about a week to get used to it.
Boomslang has John 'fatality' Wendel's pic on a box. They sponsored
him and of course he used B-1000 on all Q3A tournaments.(not B-2000
as they claim). Anyway they stopped paying recently. Fatality
put Boomslang away and went back to Logitech Wingman. After more than a year
of playing with Boomslang it still wasnt good enough for him.
Anyway Razer has next generation mouse called Mamba . Its supposed
to be out by fall. Players who tried prototypes like it a lot.
So I'd rather wait for Mamba if company doesnt go under before it.

A friend of mine has the Boomslang. Everyone makes fun of him for paying so much for his mouse that it is just so funny. Whenever I use his computer I can't really do much on it at all since you have to hold it in such a different way. My friend kind of likes it, but when he says it's good I am 99% sure he is just "protecting his investment".
