Do you love games with multiple endings?

Apparantly Bethesda has decided to go to excess with their production of Fallout 3. And the game currently has over 200 endings. I'm a huge fan of the multiple ending concept. But I think I'll be upset with 200. Though I've yet to ever play a Fallout game, I guess I'll have to pick it up.

There won't be 200 entirely separate endings. In past games, the narrator always went through each settlement and said what happened to it. There were generally two or three endings per city, with certain ones (New Reno) having more. Given the number of settlements in Fallout 2, I'd say that already accounts for 20+ endings, maybe even more.

I do expect we'll see several ways to "beat" the game, though.

Even if there are only 2 endings per region, 8 regions alone is enough to account for 256 regions. That really isn't that much.

Maybe an Oblivion style dialog list?

With just 8 other characters you could have one ending scene with 256 variations depending on which characters are in the final scene.
