Do you lose your hearing after a few drinks?

I'm not a regular drinker by any means, but I do like an occasional glass (or two) of wine with my meals. I'm fine with the first few drinks, but after that my ears start to ring and it becomes hard to hear.

Is there some sort of physiological connection between this or is this a case of "post hoc ergo propter hoc"?

I've never had my ears ring from drinking, no. If I get close to being plastered, then I do find it more difficult to hone in on a single person's speech when we're in a crowded place, though.

happens to me too (usually after I get a hard buzz going and stop drinking). Everything sounds "softer", and theres a distinct tone that I hear when it happens

No.

However on occasion my upper arms will start to feel sore after a few drinks which is kinda weird too.

well i've drank half a liter of vodka tonight and i can hear my blasting music just fine 🙂

After a few drinks I really couldn't care less about what anyone else has to say.

OTOH, at the same time I normally get a raging woodie that demands attention be paid to it.😀

Mine does....but only because when I go out drinking it's usually to a noisy pub or to a club...so it may just be those things....my eyesite gets a little more blurry...I am short sighted anyway but it gets worse after a few drinks.
