Do you lose money, keys and wallets and cell phones all the time?

I do. Something must be wrong with me. I've lost 3 cell phones in the past 10 months - paid $220 for a hot dog at 7-11 as well as losing all my credit cards and personel info when I left wallet on counter with $220 in it. Today I had $60 in my jump suit, cash because I can't find my new wallet, which I did'nt have anymnore when I got to lowes. I have lost 4 of my lincoln keys which cost $120 ea to make new ones.

What's wrong with me? I am almost 35.

Don't feel too bad:

On Dec 22, I had my camera fall out of my pocket while on a ride at Disneyland. The coaster car behind me crushed it. Was a $350 camera with a $100 memory card.

Ten minutes later, my cell phone fell out of my other pocket on another ride. Luckily it was found and mailed back to me.

The following evening I was at a gentleman's club and lost my prescription glasses when I took them off for a private dance but failed to collect them when I left the booth. Security was unable to find them, even after checking everywhere. Guess someone stole them.

Two days later I forgot to backup my digital pictures folder when I wiped my hard drive. I lost every visual memory of the last 10 years of my life.

So yeah... I was wondering "what's wrong with me" too.

I don't lose them but I forget where I place them and not find them for several days. But I haven't been able to find my digital camera since Halloween and my Oakley sunglasses for about 2 years now.

I once lost 4 bicycles in 4 days on a bender. I've lost my share of money too.

edit. I'm terrible about where I put my keys when I get home, but haven't lost a set in a long time.

Wow that sucks. You sure lose a lot of stuff. Im OCD about my stuff. I always do the 3 point check whenever im out (Ok.. wallet keys and celly) I havent lost anything of value in a while

I'm always conscious of where I put important stuff so I have yet to lose anything.

No, I'm anal about my wallet, keys, cell, mp3 player, etc. However, sometimes when I'm drunk, I'll think I've lost (dropped) money, but I either have a wad of ones in my pocket that I don't find until later (awesome) or just end up buying random people drinks and blowing my money.

Pat yourself down (pockets) before you get up off a chair, leave your house, office, etc. I do it habitually. Probably too much.

Of all the things you mentioned I have never lost any of them before. I've misplaced my keys a few time but was always able to find it when I needed them.

lol - I do pretty much the same thing. It may look weird but I've never really lost anything.

We have to have a security card to get in building I work _ Ive asked about 20 x over last 4 years for new ones.. it's really not "cute" to the secretaries who make these cards anymore.

I consider it a matter of forming good habits.

I do seem to have trouble with coats, though. Played frisbee on a school grounds about 30 years ago, and left behind a fairly new, crisp white London Fog jacket. Still bugs me! I lost a nice "field coat" a few years ago, but I don't know where. I still hope to find it at somebody's home someday... :frown:

Meh can't change the past - what's lost is lost look forward. That's what I'm trying to do - not lose anything in future. 3 point check sounds like a winner if I can remember to do so. I'm just like your freind - every party/resturant I go to i just set keys anywhere - only reason I have not lost more keys is I leave them in the ignition most of the time.

Lost my ATM card like 10 times because I take my cash and I walk off. Never had an issue though. 3/4 times, the Bank recovered it. Plus I use CC if I can, so I onnly notice when I look for my ATM card and its missing or if BoA is kind enough to call.

Never lost my wallet. I misplaced it twice and I freaked out and once my parents called into cancel my CCs because they thought it was lost.

Never lost keys.

Almost lost cell once at a movie theater, but they found it. Almost lost it in class once because I was trying to take pic of hot girl wiht 2megapixelage...

honestly, i can't figure out how people lose stuff like that. its such important stuff or contains very important info/money that you should watch it like a hawk.

i have never lost my keys, wallet, money, or cell phone.
