do you 'live to eat' or 'eat to live'?

Live to eat.

One of the reasons I run and workout so much is so that I can eat all of the things I want without become a super fatass.

eat to live. Food is enjoyable for me, but by no means do I have the "need" to stuff my face. I've never had to restrain myself when eating, just eat until I am full.

I don't have the desire to stuff my face, but I like to go out and enjoy nice meals and I like to cook as well, so I'm not just cramming my piehole with anything I can get my hands on.

I'm the kind of person who can eat the same sandwich every single day for multiple years in a row.

I'd say eat to live. I don't do other things to enable eating (other than the obvious of working a job so I can afford it), but I do make damn sure I enjoy what I'm eating.

Tough choice, I'm not into food the way my wife and her side of the family are, but when its put in front of me, I'll shove it down my throat. Guess I'm a passive food lover, won't go out of my way for food.

Food and Beverage are my 2nd and 3rd favorite things in life, right under some good ole fashion T&A (and the other stuff that goes along with it)! :)

somewhere in between?

there are days that i don't want to eat anything at all... but do, just so my body doesn't get pissed off at me. and there are days when i'm hungry 100% of the time and would rather do nothing else but eat. (i generally don't give in to such temptation any more :-\ )

Food is so delicious, it would be a such a waste to not bother enjoying your sustenance.

American society is quite odd in it's perspective on food. Most folks (as in 90%) view food and eating as an inconvenient time waste and hassle. Even beyond that is the current trend to view eating with friends/family as an onerous social obligation. How the hell did we let this happen?

I have another odd behavior to add to the list of "what color is the sky in your world" collection. Have you ever noticed folks walking around a buffet reading the signs but, not looking at the food? I always tell them to look at the food as the signs don't taste very good.

I live to eat and convert one customer at a time to learning the joys of food and sharing hospitality.

I live to eat.

I am somewhat of a fatass, I consider myself to be an expert at eating.

I'm a big fan of food, well and just big in general. Unfortunately all of the dining places around here are really sucking lately. Might end up changing to an eat to live type person.

I eat to live to eat. I enjoy it thoroughly on occasion (Mom's home cookin'!), but like Magnus mentioned above, it really is a hassle at other times.

I guess I fall in the eat to live category. I train and work hard to maintain good health and that requires a somewhat strict diet.

I work out so that I can enjoy food. That doesn't mean that I go to buffets and stuff myself (since the food there is usaulally pretty poor), it just means that I enjoy good food.

It pains me to see famous people who have tons of money and can eat anything, anywhere they want surviving on ultra low calorie diets. What a waste of one of life's most enjoyable things.

Live to eat, no question. My life would be greatly diminished if it weren't for the pleasure I get from good, healthy food.

definitely live to eat.

In fact Loup Garou helped me out years ago with a great list of restaurants while visiting New Orleans.
