I lived in the basement when I was a teenager but that was long before ATOT or even Anand himself. It was actually a great place to live, kind of like having a piece of the house for myself. The sliding glass door and concrete floor made it very easy to leave after my parents were asleep, none of that pesky squeaking of floor and hinges.

I was just thinking last night about remodeling the basement to put in a kickass master bath, and moving the master bedroom down there. Then I'd live in my own basement.

I can't wait to finish my basement. I have visions of my own little bar down there... the one tiny little corner of the house where I might get to choose the decor

I could sleep in the upstairs room but our basement is decked out in awesomeness (Pool table, fooseball, HD Projector... you get the picture). I just sleep in one of the guest rooms down there while I'm home on co-op. Will prob live there after I graduate for a little while (a few months) till I can find a place.
