Do you listen to music while reading? If so, what?

I love listening to the Total Annihilation soundtrack while reading fantasy, however I'd like to find more music to add to my reading playlist. What do you guys listen to while indulging in reading?

When coding or doing anything that requires some level of concentration I like soundtrack type music. LOTR soundtrack is pretty awesome, Star wars, pirates of Caribbean etc. Also look up Two Steps From Hell. Some pretty epic music in there too. Not sure where that music actually originates from, I just remember hearing one track in a youtube video and through comments I figured out where it came from and checked out the rest of their stuff.

I'm actually curious myself as to other suggestions so I can add more stuff to my collection.

Odd, I've never even thought listening to music while reading would set a mood. I'm going to try it, I actually thought that was a stupid feature on the kindle till just now, lol...

Holy crap! I torrented it and just listened to the Drums go to hell folder. Wow, sounds like a full orchestra. It's like little sound clips to fill in on scenes from movies in fact, I just watched V/H/S and they had a segment in there with nothing but drums. Made the scene.

After listening to all these high energy drum tracks I feel like I want to fight, lol.

Earlier (more ambient) Ryan Farish type music is good if played very softly. Mostly though, I like to read when it's totally quiet.

I love music, so listen to anything and everything while reading and working. I find listening to two hour radio mixes works well with reading. Currently addicted to Tiesto's Club Life series, use to be a big fan of AVB's ASOT but the tune selection is not what I'm looking for lately (too much vocals + unicorn trance...).

Actually I find listening to dance music really good for reading because the regular beats get you into a "state of trance".

When I'm reading I get distracted if I listen to stuff with lyrics. I typically listen to rap and metal, but when I'm reading I have two stations on Pandora that I like, Yanni and Celtic. I find those two stations relax me and I'm able to read without distraction.

If I don't listen to anything while I read I find myself too easily distracted by the tv, child, wife, anything else in the background.

No music for reading, it would distract me. I used to listen to music (techno/house type stuff usually) when coding but I also began to find it a little distracting. I prefer the quiet.

I listen to just about anything while reading, whether it be music choice 70's and 80's channel, whatever tv show is on, dvd that is playing or even some pro football games.

I do when I am studying and working, but when reading a book for enjoyment, never, as I like to wrap myself up in the book completely and music distracts from that.
