do you listen to anything at work?

depends .. if i am doing something routine and takes a while, then mp3. if i am on a roller-coaster day, then nothing

I was told that I could listen to the radio at a reasonable volume from nine to eleven, I told Bill that if Sandra is going to listen to her headphones while she's filing then I should be able to listen to the radio while I'm collating so I don't see why I should have to turn down the radio because I enjoy listening at a reasonable volume from nine to eleven.

i dont really listen to anything while i'm working. Mainly cause there are usually a lot of people nearby and it's distracting if everyone is listening or even if one person is listening to something. *shrugs* headphones sometimes for mp3's or cd's.

I can't listen to anything except what plays on the intercom system..and it usually sucks. 🙁

mp3 and radio, though internet radio, and sometimes silence...9 straight hours of music, while great can sometimes be a bit much

 I need to watch it again soon.

mp3s, and my brother works near me and has his XM radio, i cant tune into it, but i work all over the plant and can hear his stuff pretty well, which is cool since we have similar tastes

depends who's in the office.

if I throw on my music, it gives others the freedom to turn on theirs, and some of my coworkers have really bad taste in music, so I'd rather just sit in silence.

if I'm by myself, though, or with a coworker that I'm friends with, I'll throw on some internet radio (krock2.com, wfmu.org)

I actually have to communicate with other humans for my job

Computers aren't my only co workers, I can't listen to music

because everyone knows, background music causes you to be instantly unable to communicate with another living being... 😕

Lossless FLAC music server, about 1,000 CDs, plus radio and Napster. Old Kenwood receiver and a nice pair of Polk bookshelf speakers.
