The best thing I can say about mine is that they live 3,000 miles away.

God help me if they lived any closer.

My in-laws live about 10 minutes from me, ALL of them do.

We get along ok, they just have very different views on life then I do. They like to drink and smoke their lives away;)

Until I move down with Skoorb, I live in an apartment in his parents house.
I CANNOT wait to move!

Dear Lord, no! My mother in law is a psycho possesive bitch who doesn't ever keep her nose out of anyones business, my father in law is an alcoholic who drives a riding tractor around town because he is too blind/drunk to have a car license, and my brother in law is a paranoid delusional bi polar schizophrenic, who likes to talk to vaccuum cleaners when he has a bad day. (other than those days, he actually is a very nice person though).

No.

(I was about to write a longer rant, but my fingers shake too much to even contemplate it.)

Yes I love mine.
1. They live in Japan and will never travel to the states to visit us.
2. They do not speak any english
3. They do not put their nose in our business.

Mine aren't techinically in-laws yet, but the closest I have.

Anyway, I like them. Known them for 3-4 years and love them like my own.

Sometimes my g/f and I just stay home some nights and play board games or just talk with them.

They call me their adopted son

:)

That would make your girlfriend your sister. Maybe they should call you son-in-law, it's probably more appropriate :)

Oh, hell, you had to ask, didn't you? My mother in law is an obese, meddling hypochondriac. My wife's sister is the living definition of a mooch. And me? I'm Al Bundy.

My in-laws are pretty nice people. They are normal, stable people.
They live about a thousand miles away though so we only see them 2 or 3 times a year.

My in-laws are great also. I've counted my blessings with all of the bizarre stories coming from people about theirs. I have absolutely nothing but good things to say.

I just watched a movie called "The Straight Story" about a guy who drove a lawnmower 260 miles to see his brother.

Good film.
