U2 is one of the greatest rock bands ever.

Granted, their older material is much better than Zooropa/Pop - era stuff, but All that You Can't Leave Behind started to bring back some of what made them so great. It's also nice to see a band (well, frontman anyway) that uses their fame and money to make a difference instead of just pissing it all away on sex and drugs.
 
I like a lot of music but when I go over what U2 has produced from their early stuff to their latest I'd be a fool to conclude anything but they are the BEST. And they ROX my world BIG TIME.

They've had a few duds, but they've made some of the best music in the last 20 years. War, Unforgettable Fire, Joshua Tree, Boy, October, All That You Can't leave Behind, and some songs from their "dud" albums. All this from a band who became a band before even knowing how to play instruments, write, or sing, they thought it was "cool" to be a band. Not too shabby a result.
 
Too few options in the poll. There's a whole lot of ground between "They're the greatest" and "they suck". Where's the option for "I like their music, but only when they're not taking themselves too seriously" or "They're okay, but Bono needs to get the hell out of politics because he's a clueless fool" or "I'd like them better if they could decide if they'd rather copy The Clash or be like Gandhi"?
 
I started liking them in the past month or so.
Just realized that my brother had the All You Can't Leave Behind album ... he bought it and never listened to it (he was 12).

What other songs do you guys recommend?
 
U2 and INXS.

Man, U2 is so cool you could blow them and your friends wouldnt call you gay. They'd ask "So, how was it?"
