Lol.....sarcasm meter broken? Nice drawing of your dad by the way....ha!

But seriously, I do have a tendency to look too deeply sometimes into people's eyes and I suppose I do make some people uncomfortable. So I pretend to be fiddling with something in a social setting to make them more at ease when I can tell that it bothers them.

But at work, that's a different story, and people's obsession with their phones just pisses me off in general. :colbert:

Same here.

Whatever's happening on the cellphone is always more important than what's going on in the room.
This is the case for anyone there with a phone, from age 18 to 60.

Do touchscreens automatically administer 50% of a lethal dose of serotonin when a call is received?

Smart phones are great because they give the introverts at work a means to hide the fact they are not capable of looking at you.

Don't worry, we know the truth.

When I was living abroad in Italy, it was a big thing for Italians to make eye contact and stare you up and down. I got used to it and would eye people back. I kept the habit for a few months when I came back but I noticed how uncomfortable people would get when you make eye contact with them. In addition, its also a way to get jumped or shot at in the wrong neighborhoods.

I avoid it at all costs. Luckily I had a job troubleshooting computers for 20+ years so thank god MS created remote desktop. There are too many whackos now a days (present company excluded) that should be institutionalized and not on the streets.
I also NEVER say hello to strangers first and usually pretend I can not hear.
I own that!

Like to? I guess, but not constantly or enough so that I'm basically staring. Like someone else said, it's not the eye contact that bothers me, but too much too frequently I can't do, haha.

That being said, people that can't make eye contact at all are kinda weird.

Eye contact is no big deal.

It is always weird for me when the other person attempts to avoid eye contact at all costs though. Makes me feel like a nut job for even looking at them at the point where they make their .1 second of eye contact just to see if I'm making eye contact while they're in the process of shifting their eyes off to something off to the side just to avoid eye contact!

Making eye contact makes me very uncomfortable as well. Its something I'm working on. I think I do fine in very engaging conversations where we are constantly talking....but if its a one sided conversation where the other person is doing most of the talking, I get so figgity and nervous.

I also have a habit of looking at random things just so I don't feel weird about it.

I make eye contact, but I don't maintain it. I don't like staring into eyes unless I am trying to make somebody feel awkward or uncomfortable.
