Do you like Sundays Nights? They're like a double edged sword.

You dread it because Monday is tomorrow. When you were in school, this also meant you catch up on that procrastinated HW.

Also I think they feel good because things finally wind down if you had a hectic weekend. Sunday night has that 'feel' every time.

Same as you mostly. I like it cause Echoes comes on the radio. Just a laid back day usually, but I had to work today. Started making the grass shorter, but I broke a belt. I'll have to get a new one tomorrow.

Nope. I'm a believer that if you have a hectic weekend, you did the weekend wrong :p

I'm the opposite. Since I work every day morning and night, days have no meaning to me outside of what the traffic patterns will be like.

I work shifts, so one of the big advantages is the long stretches of time off, and often getting time off in the week. I tend to prefer working weekends (Except it's busy as hell at work because all the other departments are closed) and then having more time off in the week. I hate running any kind of errands on the weekend because everything is so busy.

That said, I do hate going back to work after a long stretch of time off, because I look back at how ridiculously fast that time off went by and I usually didn't accomplish half of what I wanted to. :p

I'm on vacation starting tomorrow (officially) so I'm looking forward to this week off. What's great is that I only start work back on the Thursday of the week after, so I almost have 2 weeks off. Just the way the scheduling ended up. My job can be boring sometimes but the hours are awesome so I can't justify leaving it. There's a couple other departments at my company that would be more fun, but it's 8x5. I'd hate going back to that. 2 day weekends are too short. I rather work more 12h shifts and get more days off. 8h or 12h, it's almost the same, it's still a day at work that I have to get up for.

... Do you have kids? The concept of a non-hectic weekend ceases to exist when you have kid. The weekend serves more as the "Hurry, take care of all the shit you can't take care of during the working week".

Not even remotely. I went to get a vasectomy a couple of years ago, but the place was so disorganized that I left before they did it. If I ever start dating again, I'll have to get that... fixed :p

I'm working at home now, so every day is a work day. Where my bed is at work, same as my office and my kitchen.

It kinda sucks. There are advantages, to be sure. No time wasted commuting, I can go for a walk or have a beer whenever I like. I can skip my shower and if I smell bad nobody knows it but me. But work feels like it's an omnipresent cloud overhead that you can never get away from.

When I worked an office job, my coworkers were my primary social network. I loved Sunday nights because it meant I'd be back at work tomorrow doing the job I love and doing it among my friends.

This is what I don't get. I'm not being critical, but I'm sure there will be a few who are going to be mad at what I'm about to say.

Work is work, but you should like what you do. Work is a HUGE part of our lives, and if you're dreading Sunday nights, that feeling is telling you that you should find something that you like to do.
We get one life. We are all going to be dead soon enough. Why not do something that gives you energy.

I have a buddy who retired at 35. To be so young and to have the option to do what you want in this life. Well he traveled and saw the world. He's bored as he tells me. I told him to start another business. Lol.

Twice the wife and I had to trek a particular piece of interstate highway this past weekend and both times the PITA traffic was worse than weekday rush hour traffic. It was like an anti-weekend for us. But as for Sunday evenings ... I've worked nights for the past decade which means I work Sunday nights through Thursday nights.

Many of us would LOVE to LOVE work, the problem is....
1. The bureaucracy
2. The dickhole management that is incompetent
3. Retarded co-workers

I don't care for social behaviors since I'm pretty damn introvert. Casual discussions on a random internet forum is good enough for me.

Goodluck finding work that is fun. I just don't think it exists for anyone that wants a decent sum of money anymore.

I enjoy what I do, but as far as I know there's nothing that I like enough in the entire world that would "give me energy". There aren't many jobs I can think of that I'd like more than what I do, and that's plenty good enough.

Not everyone likes to love the job that they work at. If we did, there would be no janitors, plumbers, or garbagemen... or their IT equivalents :)

I enjoy going to work but Sunday bums me out a bit. LOL, cause Monday means it’s customer service time! Come 4pm I can’t talk anymore & my face hurts from doing this :) all day

Sounds like hell. There's little I enjoy less than dealing with people. I just want to do my thing, and go home. I'd love to open a small store as my retirement job just to tell entitled cµnts to go fuck themselves. The customer isn't always right, and more times than not, they're mouthbreathing imbeciles. They should be made aware of that fact. knowledge is power, and I could go to bed with a smile on my face :^)
