why bother then, just drink tea or water or something. I drink beer for the flavor, part of that flavor is going to depend on the alcohol. And theres just not much of a range of nonalcoholic beers available anyway

Non-alcoholic beer does not taste like beer. It may resemble beer in color and texture, but it in no way shape or form tastes like any self respecting beer. Go buy yourself a Boddingtons and then come back and tell me you like the taste of your non-alco stuff. Boddingtons = Godlike.

Well, are you drinking beer constantly, one after another, all day long? Or do you get drunk from 3 beers? I can sit down to a meal, have 3 beers, and by the end not feel drunk.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that you're getting "the taste of beer", because any beer worth its salt is going to have alchohol in it - it's inherant in the design. And if you are just drinking for taste, why not go for a regular beer - unless you've got absolutely no tolerance you aren't going to get drunk off of one.

isn't non-alcoholic beer an oxymoron??

It takes about 8 cans of guinness within a 2.5 hour timeframe for me to catch a buzz....so I can't really see from your point of view.

What makes you think you have to get drunk when you drink beer? I'm assuming you're just drinking a couple of the non alcoholic ones.. Well drink a couple alcoholic ones and you won't get drunk.
