Do you like nice photos of the mundane?

Do you enjoy looking at good photos of everyday subjects? Like leaves, geese, rusty faucets, etc.... things which are not exotic, but the photos themselves have pleasing qualities, such as sharpness, texture, lighting...

Or do you disdain that, and look primarily for the "wowsers" - sweeping vistas, exotic animals, dramatic skylines...

My tiny inquiring mind wants to know. 🙂

The reason I ask is, I sometimes see posts on photo forums where the poster says something like, "I haven't been able to get out and take photos in weeks, my camera's collecting dust". Heck, sometimes I don't "get out" for weeks either, due to medical/family/whatever situations, but I feel like there are always opportunities to take photos in my house or yard, or walking down the street.

For my own work I'm pretty minimalistic. I try to pick humble subjects (hosta Leaves, etc.) and use some contrast masking to emulate the look of large format film.

like this...
...or this

If I see another B/W park bench in fog though...I might just blow myself up😎
