have you ever used a chainsaw? the chain isn't spinning unless you are pressing a button on the rear and holding the trigger. if it's turned on and he is spinning it above his head by the cable, it isn't actually spinning and wouldn't actually slice him in half if it hit him. sure it would hurt like shit because it's still sharp and it isn't goign to just saw right through him.

i wouldn't be surprised if he noticed that and thought 'dat chainsaw won't look right if dat chain ain't spinnin' and jammed something in the side of the button

there's a level of gore i will do not want to cross.
real life gore - no way
gore from horror movies - no - gore for the sake of gore, explicit torture type stuff - no thanks.

Pretty much anything beyond The Walking Dead gore is where my line is drawn.

No. He invented the internet, the most unholy creation in the history of mankind.

See, I think there's a difference between morbid curiosity and pleasure. I really hope that the former is what OP means when he says he "likes" gore.

No I don't like gore. Crazy people like gore. I like puppies and fields of wildflowers and pretty ladies in summer dresses and holding hands in the park.

Rotten, Ogrish, Stileproject, and a few others were regular viewing material for me as a kid, but it tends to disturb me now.

Found a video showing the clip I saw (googled 'swinging chainsaw hedge'):

It could be fake, but then, it still takes a fair bit of stupidity to do something like that even with a switched-off chainsaw...

I can't stand gore. I don't even want to see a surgery in progress.

The few seconds while an alien in Alien poses for the kill is far greater than the best 1,000,000 gore shots.
