The drive from NYC to Buffalo ? Heh I did it about 20 times over the course of 4.5 years. Let's just say 4 MetallicA albums start to finish got me through it each time. I hate driving in general now. Used to love it.

Let me know when you've done it for the 10th time and see if you still like it. ;)

By the time I'm done driving 12 hours I want to run a foot race. I hate being confined to the car for such a long period of time and I'm always yearning to stretch my legs and be done with it.

I drive to Austin and San Antonio often from here. It makes all the difference to have a car with comfortable seats (Bonneville SSEi, as opposed to the Camaro I had been driving....).

Weekend road trips are great! I used to drive 700 miles one-way, once every 6 weeks to visit some friends of mine. I drove the whole way, with a few stops at rest areas to do some jogging, eating, etc.

nope ...

i regularly drive the 400 miles home to visit my family. at 6+ hours each way in a weekend, it gets old fast, especially in a pickup.

now if i had something like a BMW or a Benz, maybe it wouldn't be so bad.

Ah, yes. That was the other thing I forgot. Comfortable seats, and several MP3 CD's full of music. :)

I drove 44 hours straight once. No joke.

man, not even rest for the night?

the longest I drove is from Austin to Dallas and back every weekend for a month to visit friends during the weekends. Still love it.

Audio book keeps me company. :)

I drive from Rochester to New York City and back a few times a month. Doesn't really bother me all that much. Takes me anywhere from 5-6 hours.

I like driving long distances yeah
recently drove from South Western Ontario to Weirton, West VA. that was a nice drive, pretty nice once we got close to VA (hilly)
I also made a few trips last year to Mt Tremblant Quebec and back.. that's a solid 8 hours.
