By putting blood into a sore muscle from lifting and stretching, will it heal faster or are you just overtraining?

Yes I did workout when sore.

Now-a-days I don't get really sore. But if you skip days b/c you're sore, the soreness will be after every workout.

I generally don't work out the same muscle group 2 days in a row. If it's been 2-3 days and I'm still sore from a previous workout, I'll ignore it and go ahead.

You're right, usually. The next day (or week, if you've really overdone it), you can use weights and the same exercises to make yourself feel better, though. This second workout is not for strength, it's for recovery. You should look like a little girl while doing much less than you normally do for far fewer reps. I don't know why, and maybe it's all in my head, but this does help relieve some soreness.

I'm only sore or so the first week back into the gym after having a few weeks (months in my case recently) off, after that first week of soreness goes away, it's pretty much smooth sailing. Even that first week, the soreness is usually just in my lateral pecs and hammies.

Personally I never train weights 2 days in a row, regardless of body part.

Monday
Chest
Tris

Wednesday
Shoulders
Legs

Friday
Back
Bis

This is my 3 day split with cardio in between. If I miss one I just miss it and keep going on. I've hurt myself so many times overtraining in my younger days I'm ubercareful now.

True. However, the OP said "Do you lift when sore (from the workout a day before?) "
