Yes, I know of the Rose Parade. No, I don't care to watch it. The wife was watching it yesterday and I was like "WTF you doing?"

Living in Cali. it was a tradition to watch it. We almost went, but didn't at the time. Maybe one day.

My parents went once. They took two ladders and boards for in between so they could have a view above the rest. That was in the '70's, I'm not sure they'd allow it now.

Used to live in CA. Don't care about it and never watched it. Same with the Macy's parade and other such nonsense. It's a bunch of slow monstrosities rolling down the road with a bunch of morons talking. Who would willingly subject themselves to watching that?
